### Level Tiers

Each level tier consists a range of levels. The number of levels in each tier is fixed at 25 levels per tier for the first 150 levels and increased to 150 levels per tier after prestige.

As you level up to a higher tier, the experience points required per level increases, making it harder to level up.

### Prestige

Prestige is where one reaches the maximum level of 150 and enters into the prestige tiers. The prestige realm is divided into 4 tiers, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

The prestige realm is fixed at 7,000 experience points per level.

# Levels Table

There is no level cap set for the leveling system, however the tier stops upgrading at level 3701. Players can still level up indefinitely after that.

# Content Pack

Also known as "DLC", get the most out of Titan by getting our content installed.

All custom items such as battle calls, medic cries, emotes and trails are part of the "optional content pack" or "DLC". It is a completely optional bundle of content that does not automatically download when a player connects to our community game servers.

This measure was done to cut all unnecessary download times for players who only want to play on the servers without ever interacting outside the base features.

{% hint style="success" %}
Players who did not download the content pack will not see the emotes you use, trails you are wearing, and the sounds you play. Others who download them will be able to see and hear them.
{% endhint %}

{% embed url="<https://github.com/TitanTF/Ultimate-Content-Pack>" %}

### Installation

The content pack can be obtained by connecting to the content distributor at the IP address: **download.titan.tf:11111**

Don't worry, the installation process is automatic and the game will notify you as soon as it finishes installing. The simplest way to connect to it via the IP address is to enter the following line into the address bar of your browser.

```
steam://connect/download.titan.tf:11111
```

Alternatively, you can enable your Team Fortress 2 developer console and connect through it by following the screenshots below.

![Connecting to a Server through Console](/files/-Lkryomh0-XDMiI3QmGa)

### Updating

Updating is the same as the installation process. You can update your content pack by connecting to the content distributor at the IP address: **download.titan.tf:11111**

Similarly, you can follow the connection guide in the [installation section](https://app.gitbook.com/@titantf/s/wiki/items/content-packs#installation) above if you do not know how to connect to a server using the server's IP address.

### Customize

You can adjust the volume of sounds played to you after you have the optional content pack installed. Head over to [settings](https://titan.tf/settings), and follow the screenshot below.

# Gems

A powerful currency that rules over titan.tf

Introduced in [Patch 1.184](https://steamcommunity.com/groups/titantf/discussions/11/1694914735999869211/), gems is a very powerful currency. It can be used to buy all sorts of things at the gems exchange.

Players receive 1 gem every minute for playing on community servers.

{% hint style="warning" %}
This currency does not drop by default. To replace your credit drops with gem drops, modify your [settings](https://titan.tf/settings).

When normal chests drop upon leveling up, the rarity of the chest is determined by the new level number.

The hundreds and thousands places are removed from the new level number to obtain a 2 digit number. The 2 digit number is used to determine the chest rarity.

There is a **3%** chance that the item that comes out of a chest is 1 rarity higher than the chest's rarity. This applies to all chest rarities except for Legendary, as Mythic items cannot be obtained through opening chests.

# Black Market

The black market is an item exchange market where players can put up their items for sale at any price they want, or buy items from the market for possibly a cheaper price than what the item shop offers.

![](/files/-Lk76s51UubJVw32QsLc)

### <img src="/files/-LjyYXL4Pv2J9GkRgCyO" alt="" data-size="original"> Limits

You can only sell your items for less than 2X of the original item price. This limit does not apply to items with no value.

### Listings

You can track the items you have listed on the black market, and take them down anytime you would like if you changed your mind.

# Mystery Boxes

The trendy mystery box has arrived virtually!

Introduced in the [Temperature of Love Update (Patch 2.1.17)](https://titan.tf/patch/2.1.17), mystery boxes bring a whole new level of selling items away!

Pack any items you want into a mystery box, name it, add a short description and list it for any price you want! Wait for someone to purchase it, and the surprise is theirs!

Mystery boxes are part of the Black Market, and are not physical items that will be inside your inventory once purchased. Upon purchase of a mystery box, you can check the items you have received immediately.

**There are no regulations to this system, everything you buy from here is a mystery and there is no guarantee.**

# Trading

Exchange items, with no taxes.

## Trading Basics

Trading allows players to exchange items easily without limits. Trades are not executed in real time, a trade offer will be sent to the partner where they can accept or decline anytime before it expires.

> A live trading feature is being considered, but due to the number of security factors, it is very challenging to implement.

![](/files/-Lk7C3MvJgtPBXzyfohp)

### <img src="/files/-LjyYXL4Pv2J9GkRgCyO" alt="" data-size="original"> Trade Limits

There is currently no limit imposed to trades. You can send and receive as many items as you want in a single trade.

### <img src="/files/-LjyEv2r0cFYcE7trWNZ" alt="" data-size="original"> Credits and Gems

In a trade offer, you can include credits and gems for either side.

{% hint style="info" %}
If you or the other person does not have any credits or gems, the item to select how much money or gems will not appear.
{% endhint %}

### <img src="/files/-Ljyb4619JiOgZ5p6TMq" alt="" data-size="original"> Secret Key

A secret key is a randomly generated string of 8 digits containing numbers and alphabets which can be regenerated at anytime. Players must have your secret key in order to send trade offers to you.\
\
Your secret key can be found in your trade offers page. Unlike its name, the secret key can be posted everywhere for the whole world to see. It is just a key that you can choose to give to the people you want trade offers to receive from.\
\
This is a measure taken to prevent users from being bombarded with random trade offers from people they don't even know.

### <img src="/files/-LjybHCyN4wLvZwvJMMA" alt="" data-size="original"> Private Inventories

One cannot send trade offers to players with private inventories, but one can send trade offers while having a private inventory.

You can private your inventory from your [settings](https://titan.tf/settings). This not only hides your inventory from others, but you will also never receive trade offers.

### <img src="/files/-LjybZmhwGBMfhNVjWj7" alt="" data-size="original"> Validation

The system will only check for items, currency and gems when the other party presses the '**Accept**' button.\
\
In the event that at least one side of the trade, no longer have enough currency or gems, or the items offered no longer exist, the offer will become invalid.

## Trade Process

### <img src="/files/-LjyHSpM0Gx-z4xKart7" alt="" data-size="original"> Creation

Upon the successful creation of a trade offer, the other person will automatically receive a notification in their notifications center.

### <img src="/files/-LjydYiMraKHDQa516ci" alt="" data-size="original"> Trade Message

A message can be included in trade offers when sending one, usually used to describe the nature and reasoning behind the trade.

### <img src="/files/-LjyYXL4Pv2J9GkRgCyO" alt="" data-size="original"> Cancellation

The creator of the trade offer can cancel the trade offer at anytime, and the receiver can decline the trade offer at anytime.

### <img src="/files/-LjycB0wlsJ3kXvraviu" alt="" data-size="original"> Expiration

All trade offers automatically expire after 2 weeks after creation. Once expired, both parties will be notified about it.

### <img src="/files/-Ljycnx9SQ0LKVTf4uZg" alt="" data-size="original"> Notifications

Every part of the process, from receiving a trade offer, to the result of the trade offer, the other party will be notified of the status of the trade offer.

### <img src="/files/-Ljyd9wUKgd11ckDT0HU" alt="" data-size="original"> 2FA Support (Coming Soon)

With the increasing use of 2 factor authentications on every platform, the team has announced the possible implementation of this to both logins and trade confirmations in the future.

There are no promises as to whether this feature will be implemented.

# Bank

The bank facilitates item exchanges.

The bank is a 3rd party inventory that facilitates all item exchanges except trading and the black market. Any item that will be [given away](/items/giveaways) or [deposited into casino games](/items/casino) must be inside the bank. All items won from casino games and giveaways are automatically transferred into winner's bank.

Items can be transferred in and out of the bank easily. There is no limit to the number of items that can be stored in the bank, nor is there a limit to the number of items exchangeable in one transfer.

### Private Banks

Bank inventories are private, only the player who owns it can view and transfer items in and out of it. There is no way to see the items in another player's bank.

Added in [Patch 2.0.53](https://steamcommunity.com/groups/titantf/discussions/11/1732087824985810792/), it was to build on the potential of a massive ARG in 2017, called "Break the Safe".

Everyone can guess the PIN by paying 5 lucky coins. The base safe contains $1,000 and increases by $100 to $200 every 1 hour. It increases by $5 for every failed attempt.

{% hint style="success" %}
What happens when it is OPENED by someone? The person who manages to open it secures all the loot inside the safe.

{% hint style="danger" %}
What happens when it is NOT OPENED? The safe explodes when it reaches $50,000 and spawns a new one which resets the value back to $1,000.

Anyone can create a coinflip for someone else to join, and anyone can join somebody else's open coinflips by depositing items of equal value to the coinflip.

{% hint style="warning" %}
The participant has to deposit items of value within the range of 3% lower and 3% higher of the host's item value.

# Provably Fair

The provably fair system **only supports web-based casino games**. The goal of this system is to ensure the integrity of the result.

#### How It Works

* A server seed, public seed and the result is generated at the start of every round
* A sha256 hash is generated based on the `seeds, the result and the round number`
* The `hash` and `public seed` is visible to the everyone from the start of the round
* The hash can then be used to verify that the result was never changed (*by regenerating a hash based on the seeds, result and round number)*

{% hint style="info" %}
If the hash given at the start of the round and the hash generated after the round **MATCHES**, the round is verified to be legitimate and not manipulated. 🔑
{% endhint %}

**All web-based games are supported except lottery.** An attempt was made to implement this to the lottery system at launch, but was not viable due to the way the participant pool works.

# Server

Games that are only playable on community servers.

# Jackpot

The first ever game introduced was Jackpot. Players can deposit any amount of credits to enter the pot, and the winner takes the entire pot home.

The higher the amount deposited by a player, the higher the chance they have to win the pot. The pot starts picking the winner 15 seconds after there are at least 2 players in the pot. The pot resets its timer back to 15 seconds when another player joins the pot.

{% hint style="info" %}
Only 1 jackpot game can be active at any one point in time.

Added [Patch 2.0.57](https://steamcommunity.com/groups/titantf/discussions/11/1732087825004268880/), giveaways are introduced to allow anyone to host a giveaway for any titan.tf items.&#x20;

Each giveaway can only have 1 winner, and only the winner of a giveaway will be notified of the results through notifications.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Items must be transferred from the inventory into the [bank](/items/bank) in order to deposit items into web-based casino games.
{% endhint %}

![](/files/-Lk7C9CPCoZ_X0hnC_vP)

## Settings

The length of a giveaway can be set with a maximum of up to 4 months. A limit to the maximum number of entries allowed can be set, but there is no cap to this number.

{% tab title="Weapons" %}

### Weapons

* When you indicate more than 1 weapon or weaponclass, it means **OR** for all the "is using" weapons and **AND** for all the "is not using" weapons.
  * The player can use **either one** of the weapons in the "IS USING" pool, and the player MUST NOT use **ANY** of the weapons in the "IS NOT USING `!NOT`" pool.<br>
  * Eg. `weapon;1071,weapon;423,weapon;221!NOT,weapon;264!NOT` means the player is either using a Golden Frying Pan or Saxxy but NOT a Holy Mackerel or normal Frying Pan.<br>
  * Eg. If you add `weapon;1071!ENEMY,weapon;423!ENEMY,weapon;221!ENEMY!NOT,weapon;264!ENEMY!NOT` to the above example, it means that BOTH the player and enemy are either using a Golden Frying Pan or Saxxy but NOT a Holy Mackerel or normal Frying Pan.

* To indicate as the enemy, add `!ENEMY` behind the parameter.

###

# Maps

Set the maps where a law module will trigger.

* Separate with commas, no spaces allowed for each map name.<br>
* `*` in front of a name if you want the challenge to match maps **CONTAINING** that name. Otherwise, the challenge will match maps with the exact naming.<br>
* `#` at the end of a map name if you want the challenge to match case-sensitively.<br>
* `!NOT` at the end of a map name if you don't want the challenge to track in that map.

## Mann vs Machine

* To indicate a Mann vs Machine mission, simply indicate its mission/popfile name after the map name. A mission called Ambush on mvm\_decoy, will be `mvm_decoy_Ambush`.<br>
* To indicate a specific wave of a mission, add `;wave<number>` behind the map (map\_mission) name. For example, `mvm_decoy_Ambush;wave3` to indicate the 3rd wave of Ambush mission on mvm\_decoy.

**Note that if you are indicating that a challenge can be done in any mission of a MvM map, it should include a `*` infront of the map name. Otherwise, it can only be done in the default mission of that map.**

# Gamemodes

Set the gamemodes where a law module will trigger.

* Separate with commas, spaces are allowed for each gamemode name.<br>
* `*` in front of a name if you want the challenge to match gamemodes **CONTAINING** that name. Otherwise, the challenge will match gamemodes with the exact naming.<br>
* `#` at the end of a gamemode name if you want the challenge to match case-sensitively.<br>
* `!NOT` at the end of a gamemode name if you don't want the challenge to track in that gamemode

# Chat Colors

Every player is able to freely customize the colors of their chat messages with the use of some simple chat formatting. Everyone in the server is able to see the formatting.

{% hint style="info" %}
These colors will override any custom chat paint equipped while using this feature.
{% endhint %}

## Getting Started

If you do not have any colors in mind, you can start by clicking [here](https://www.webpagefx.com/web-design/color-picker/). Drag to the color you want and copy the 6 digit number (beside the # symbol) above the color palette.

{% hint style="success" %}
The syntax only accepts hexadecimal.
{% endhint %}

### Converting to HEX

If you have the red, green, and blue (RGB) values of a color, you can convert them [here](https://www.webpagefx.com/web-design/hex-to-rgb/).

## Formatting

### Standard Coloring

Include an escaped hex symbol `\#`, followed by the 6 digit hex code, in front of all the text you want to be colored with that color.

The format for standard coloring is `\#(hex symbol) XXXXXX(6 digit hex value)`.

Eg. `\#000000Hello, World` will print a black `Hello, World`

### Transparency Coloring

Transparency adds a new dimension of customizing the colors of your chat messages.

Include 2 escaped hex symbols `\##`, followed by the 6 digit hex code and then the transparency value, in front of all the text you want to be colored with that color. The transparency value ranges from 00 (least visible) to 99 (most visible).

The format for transparency is `\##(2 hex symbols) XXXXXX(6 digit hex value) YY(transparency)`.

Eg. 80% transparency would be `\##00000080Hello, World`, which will print a black `Hello, World` which is 80% visible.

### Multi Coloring

You can do both Standard and Transparency Coloring multiple times in a single chat message. These codes will only override the colors of the text after the code. However, there is a character limit for every chat message sent.

Eg. `\#000000The fox ran over the \#FF4040lazy dog\#000000.`

### A brand new automated event is coming soon.

When a server reaches the maximum players (for e.g. 24/24 or 32/32) it can hold, the event will activate. The last person who leaves the server after the event is activated will win **$10,000**.

Anyone can still join the server and leave at any time during the event. This only activates on non Mann vs Machine servers.

{% hint style="info" %}
In the event that the map changes, the event will reset.
